文学翻译中的第三类语言——兼评林译《浮生六记》译本

Third-type Language of Literary Translation

"通顺地道"一直是许多学者对文学翻译的要求。但文学译文的语言并不能真正做到完全的地道,相反,其语言既有规范地道的译入语成分,又保留了原语的一些特点,是一种独特的第三类语言。林语堂译《浮生六记》中也不乏"第三类语言"的存在,这说明第三类语言的存在是普遍的、必然的。在当今全球化语境下,我们应大力提倡在文学翻译中使用"第三类语言",以达到文化交流和丰富语言的目的。

＂Fluency and authenticity＂ has been requirement for literary translation. However, the language of translated literature can not be absolutely authentic. On the contrary, It is an unique ＂ third - type language＂ with elements of target language and original language. A lot of ＂third - type language＂ exists in Lin Yutangg translation of ＂Six Floating Life＂, which shows the existence of ＂third -type language＂ is universal. In today~ context of globalization, we should vigorously advocate the use of ＂ third - type language＂ in literary translation in order to achieve the purpose of cultural exchange and enrich language.
