摘要 论述了陆家羲先生(1935-1983)在组合设计方面所取得的成就及其研究所产生的社会影响和学术影响.陆家羲从1957年起,在极其艰苦的条件下,孤立无援、坚持不懈地研究组合数学区组设计的若干基本问题,于1983年证明了国际数学界130多年未能证明的"不相交斯坦纳三元系大集定理",1984年他的"可分解平衡不完全区组设计的存在性理论"发表,标志着科克曼女生相关问题的解决达到一个新的水平,1984年内蒙古自治区政府追授他"特级教师"称号,1989年荣获国家自然科学一等奖. Jiaxi Lu(1935-1983) was born in Shanghai.He became a mathematician of combinatorics by self-teaching.In 1961,he graduated from the department of physics in the North-East Normal University,and was assigned to Baotou Institute of Iron and Steel Engineering(later renamed as the Inner Mongolian Institute of Science and Technology) to be an assistant teacher.Later,he had been teaching physics successively in the Teaching-Research Office of Baotou Educational Bureau as well as some middle schools including No.8,No.5,No.24 and No.9,until he died in 1983.Since 1957,under very difficult circumstances,he had been devoting himself to some basic questions in block design in the field of combinatorics,and proved the Theorem of large sets of disjoint Steiner triple systems,which had been pending for more than 130 years in the international circle of mathematic research.In 1989,he was rewarded the first prize of National Natural Science issued by the government of China,and the Inner Mongolian government conferred him posthumously the title of "Super-fine Teacher".In 1984,his paper "On the presence of resolvable balanced incomplete block design" was published,which indicated that the related problems of "Kirkman schoolgirl problem" reached a new level.
