北京天文台的WET三通道高速光度计

WET HIGH SPEED 3-CHANNEL PHOTOMETER AT BEIJING ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY

对北京天文台新近改造成的三通道高速光度计的结构和性能进行介绍,并给出了在兴隆站85公分望远镜的一些实测结果.

A 2-channel photometer has been upgraded to a WET (Whole Earth Telescope) high speed 3-channel photometer at Beijing Astronomical Observatory (BAO) with the help of Prof.R E. Nather of McDonald Observatory. The new 3-channel photometer was designed for investigating pulsating white dwarf stars and other short period variable stars. It can be attached to the 2.16m and 85cm telescopes at Xinglong Station of BAO. The photometer can also be used at other telescopes with a few modifications on its mounting flange. Its limiting magnitudes at the 2. 16m and 85cm telescopes are V=17.5 and V=15.5, respectively. In the paper its constructuion and function are discussed and the results of an engineering run at the 85cm telescope are presented.
