In his early novels,Jin Yi focused his theme on the condemnation of guilty females.This kind of style not only lays an emotional foundation for his writing, but also affects his life outlook and his viewpoints on writing.Demon-like females are common in his novels.Jin Yi used to describe females as in- nocent girls who were patriotic, worried about people, and who did propaganda jobs.In his novel ＂Qianxi＂ （The Eve）, there is such a character named Jing Yi who willingly gives up personal happiness and devotes to family life.This character is the self portrait of the writer himself as well as a typical intellectual who holds on to his individual post at the time.
