A Critique of Picture Translation in the Comparative Cultural Context

文章以比较文化的视域对当代美术理论中的图像翻译进行探讨,从后现代文化理论基本范畴的理解失误、文化语境的差异所形成的阻隔、专业话语的失语现象与跨文化对话的必要性等方面,提出了图像翻译者不仅应该具备雄厚的双语能力和丰富的专业知识,而且应该具备较强的跨文化沟通能力的观点,并且结合文本实践进行了理论梳理。

The article explores the picture translation of the contemporary art theory from the comparative cultural perspec- tive. Based on the analysis of the four aspects： the comprehension faults in the rudimentary categories of post cultural theo- ries, the barriers formed by different cultural contexts, the aphasia of the professional discourses and the necessity of the trans-cultural dialogue, the author puts forward the statements that a professional translator needs not only a sound bilingual ability and resourceful professional knowledge, but also a good trans-cultural communication ability.
