The context of new urbanism and its enlightenment

通过对新城市主义思潮产生的社会、文化背景以及理论渊源的剖析,结合我国城市发展的现状,从城市化过程的视角,探讨了作为20世纪90年代以后的城市建设思潮——新城市主义对我国城市发展的借鉴意义。

This article mainly analyzes the deep -seated social and cultural backgrounds of the ＂New Urbanism＂, as well as it＇ s theoretical origin. Though this, at the same time compared to the status quo of China＇ s urban development, the author explores that as a new urban development trend of the later 1990s the ＂New Urbanism＂, what it can be learned for our country＇ s urban development.
