试论小说《围城》中隐喻的翻译策略

On Translation Strategies of Metaphor in the Novel Wei Cheng

小说《围城》中拥有大量新颖独特的隐喻表达,使其成为小说翻译的难点。本文从翻译的层面分析了小说《围城》中隐喻的特点,从修辞学的角度对其隐喻进行分类,并对名词性隐喻、谚语性隐喻、讽刺性隐喻等典型隐喻的译例进行观察和分析,初步归纳出小说《围城》中隐喻的英译策略。

The novel Wei Cheng is abundant in fresh and special metaphorical expressions which are the difficult points in the translation of the novel. This paper analyzes the characteristics of metaphors in the novel Wei Cheng from the angle of translation and classifies the metaphors from the rhetoric perspective. It also observes and analyzes the translation examples of some typical types of metaphors： nominal metaphors, proverbial metaphors and ironical metaphors. It tries to summarize the translation strategies of metaphors in the novel Wei Cheng.
