随着网络技术的发展,无线网络从单一的无线个人区域网络(WPAN)发展到无线广域网络(WWAN),覆盖范围从短短几米扩展到全球范围,传输速度也在成倍增长,无线网络渐渐融入医疗行业,在远程医疗、医生查房、临床护理方面都发挥出其特有的优势,提高了医护人员的工作效率,降低了工作成本,避免了重复工作或者错误的发生,充分发挥了医院信息系统的效能,有效地提高了医疗质量,加强了医护人员和患者的沟通,使患者能够得到更好的治疗和护理。

Wireless networks have developed to wireless wide area network （WWAN） from a single wireless personal area network （WPAN） with the development of network technology. Expansion of coverage was spread from a few meters to a global range and transmission speed was also doubled. Wireless network gradually integrated into the medical profession and a unique advantage in telemedicine, doctor rounds and clinical care. It could increase staff productivity, reduce operating costs, avoid duplication of work or errors appearing and give full play to the hospital information system＇s capabilities. Patients could get better treatment and care because of the quality of medical care effectively improved and the communication strengthened between staff and patients.
