On the Reasons Why the Temple Education Becomes the Tradition of Dai Society

西双版纳傣族普遍信仰南传上座部佛教,傣族男子接受佛寺教育成为傣族的一项重要传统。通过分析傣族佛寺教育为何能成为傣族社会的"传统",认为主要有以下原因:佛教自身的改变、统治阶层的需要、个人选择的必要性以及相对稳定的社会结构等。

Dai people believe in Theravada at large in Xishuangbanna. It is a important tradition for Dai boys to study in the Buddhist temples. The paper try to explain that why the temple education become the tradition of Dai society.
