以江泽民为核心的党的第三代领导集体十分重视文化与文化建设,对此进行了积极与极富成效的探索,提出了一系列关于文化的重要论断用来指导中国特色社会主义的伟大实践。然而,任何科学理论的发展,都是特定时代的历史产物,江泽民文化思想也不例外。世纪之交的中国,面临着许多新的问题,江泽民文化思想就是为解决这些问题而产生的,"问渠哪得清如许,为有源头活水来",它是实践的产物,是时代的反映。从理论与现实的角度对江泽民文化思想形成的背景进行研究,对进一步深入研究江泽民文化思想具有重大意义。

The third-generation collective leadership of Communist Party of China which was led by Jiang Zemin attaches great importance to culture and cultural construction. They conduct a positive and fruitful exploration and put forward a series of important thesis on culture to guide the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. But we said that any developments of scientific theory are historical products of in a particular period, Jiang Zemin＇ s culture thought as well. At the beginning of new century China is facing many new problems,＇Jang Zemin＇s culture thought is to solve these problems. ＂The reason for the supply of crystal clear water is because there is fresh water supply from the source of the stream＂ is a product of practice, and it is a reflection of the times. In this paper, we study background of Jiang Zemin＇ s culture thought from theory and reality, which has significance when we need further in-depth study of Jang Zemin＇ s culture thought.
