3G时代的到来为电子阅读器的发展带来新的机遇。人们对随时随地浏览书籍、杂志的需求,意味着电子阅读器将从面对窄众市场转向面对大众市场,从而成为移动终端领域的新宠。尤其是电子阅读器性价比逐步提升与便携等特性与3G技术的高带宽和广覆盖等特点的相结合,将使其成为3G时代继上网本之后的又一重要的终端类型产品。
In the Internet era,people's reading habits have gradually changed from the traditional patterns to digital reading.People all over the world have become in favour of electronic books,which is driving the development of electronic reader products.Along with the coming of 3G era,this trend have been accelerated.The development of e-readers faced with new opportunities.The huge demands from people in browsing books and magazines anywhere,means that the e-reader will turn to the mass market,and become a basic component of a mobile terminal device. For various consumer groups,the 3G electronic reader market will be more segmented with four major trends presented:the first is e-readers with color screen and touch-screen;the second is the continuously improvement of the cost performance;the third is the clearer differentiation between e-reader and mobile phone as well as other mobile devices;and the fourth is the intensified competition with the join of telecom carriers.In China,the profit prospect of 3G e-reader market is not clear yet,mainly due to four elements:first,changing the traditional reading habits is difficult;second,lack of content resources;third, business models is still immature;fourth,lack of exclusive advantage compared to mobile phones on 3G network.
