我国不同收入组城镇居民医疗保健支出特点分析

Analysis on Medical Care Expenses of Urban Dweller in Different Income Group in China

对我国不同收入组城镇居民1996年-2005年的医疗保健消费行为进行了考察,运用时间序列的计量模型测算了医疗保健消费的价格弹性和收入弹性。发现:无论是价格弹性还是收入弹性,绝对值均大于1,即医疗保健至少在边际上,属于奢侈品。为确保我国城镇居民人人享有基本医疗保健,国家应更积极地投资于人民健康。

This paper considered the medical care consumption behavior of urban dweller in different income group from 1996 to 2005, applied time series econometrics model to survey the price elasticity and income elasticity of medical care.We found,no matter the price elas- ticity or income elasticity, their absolute value are both larger than 1, medical care is the luxury goods. In order to ensure all urban dweller have the basic medial care,the government should invest in people＇s health more actively.
