Objective To survey the infectious status of Toxoplasma gondii in wild animal breeders in Shenzhen. Methods wild animal breeders were clusterly sampled and detected for CAg,IgM and IgG of by ELISA,and then the features of infection were analyzed. Results There 204 breeder cases in Shenzhen wild animal zoo were surveyed. The positive rates of CAg, IgM and IgG of Toxoplosma gondii among them were 2.45%, 4.90% and 9.31% respectively, higher than that of the common population. There was no significant difference among those working in different animal zones. The infection rate of female breeders was significantly higher than that of male breeders. The group with shorter length of service shared higher IgM positive rate and lower IgG positive rate when compared with the groups with longer length of service. Conclusion Wild animal breeders are high risk population for Toxoplasma gondii infection and effective preventive measures be taken.
