异化翻译与文化形象的保存——浙江省博物馆“文化介绍”的翻译研究

归化与异化是翻译中处理文化因素的两种不同策略,前者以目的语文化为归宿,后者以源语文化为归宿。异化翻译有利于源语文化形象的保存。博物馆内文化介绍的翻译就应该尽量保存地区文化形象,因而异化翻译就显得尤为重要。异化翻译能将原文中的文化意象真实地再现给译语读者,保留原文的异域风情,传播源语文化,因而能起到文化交流的作用。

Domesticating translation and foreignizing translation are two different translation strategies. The former is orien- ted at the source culture, and the latter the target culture. Foreignizing translation helps to preserve the source cultural elements, hence it is conductive in the translation of culture introduction in the museum. This paper will explore how forcignization is used in translating the cultural introduction in the museum.
