铁路提速引发了公铁客运新一轮的激烈竞争，在对公路客运与铁路客运的竞争关系进行理论分析的基础上，以西宝线为例，分析了铁路提速后，公路客运的优势及存在的问题，最后据此提出公路客运今后的发展建议。

With railway-speed increasing , a new competition of passenger transport between highway and rail- way emerges . Based on the theoretical analysis of the competition of passenger transport between highway and railway, this paper expounds the advantage and disadvantage of road passenger transport on the challenge of trainspeed increasing taking the route from Xi＇an to Baoji as example. Finally, it states the idea of how to promote the highway passenger transportation.
