Study on Biology of Rhizoglyphus echinopus

刺足根螨Rhizoglyphus echinopus（Fumouze et Robin）是云南昆明近年来发现的一种花卉害螨，在当地年发生16个世代，卵期3～17d，幼螨期3～13d，世代历期12～45d。该害螨为害高峰期在5—8月，主要为害切花百合种球，常造成受害植株长势下降和花朵畸形，在整个栽培期均可发生为害。

Rhizoglyphus eehinopus （Fumouze et Robin） is a recently discovered pest mite on flowers in Yunnan province. Sixteen generations of this mite in a year were observed in Kunming and each lasted from 12 to 45 days. The durations of egg, larval and ny- mphal stage were 3.0 - 17.0 days, 3.0 - 13.0 days, and 3.0 - 8.0 days, respectively. This mite occurred in the whole euhivation period and peaked from May to August. Infested plants usually became weak. Consecutive infestation for three to four months resulted in flowers abnormality.
