Computer-assisted instruction （CAD courseware for parasitology particular to parasitic diseases prevalent in Yunnan was developed with different aspects such as creation of lifecycle flash animation, use of a variety of audio-visual materials, and extensive collection of materials. The use of CAI in medical parasitology instruction had a marked effect and was popular with students according to a questionnaire. Teachers should also gain additional knowledge such as that involving computers in order to develop better multimedia courseware.
