崩塌是指在陡峻边坡发生的一种突然而又急剧的动力地质现象,即在地势陡峻、地质条件复杂的边坡上,岩体、土体在自重和外力的支配下,突然脱离母岩(土)体而急剧地倾倒呈翻滚、跳跃状的一种破坏。大型崩塌不仅可以成段毁坏铁路、公路和各类建筑物,而且会造成严重的人身伤亡事故,给国家和人民带来巨大经济损失。通过分析崩塌落石的运动形式和受力情况,为崩塌的评价和处理提供参考依据。

Failure is a kind of sudden and sharp geological behavior which happens in high and steep moun- tain slope. That is, in the steep terrain , complex geological condition slope, the rock and soil dominated by their weight and external force, suddenly, separated from the mother rock（soil）, then dramatically dumping, rolling. A large-scale failure not only can destroy the railway section, highways and all kinds of buildings, but will also cause physical casualties, huge economic losses and casualties. In this paper, ana- lyzed the movement form and the force of falling rocks, provided a reference to the evaluation and treat- ment of failure.
