Generic Intertextuality and E-C Translation of News Report in Newspaper

英语报刊消息是各种文本的集合,体现了新闻语篇的互文性特征。由于互文性本身的复杂性,对其互文性进行分析存在一定困难,而辛斌提出的体裁互文与具体互文的分类法对报刊消息的汉译提供了启示。从宏观角度对英语报刊消息的体裁互文性从体裁、风格、主题、结构、功能五个方面进行了分析,并提出了汉译时处理的基本原则与方法。

English newspaper report is a mixture of different texts, reflecting the intertextual trait of news texts. Due to the complexity of Intertextuality theory itself, considerable difficulty arises in its classification. Xinbin＇s categorization of Generic Vs. Specific Intertextuality offers translator enlightenment for classification of English news reports and their translation. This paper, from the macroscopic point, analyzes Intertextuality of news reports at the layers of genre, style, theme, structure and function and proposes some basic translation principles and methods.
