Effect of Irbesartan in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and left atrial expansion

摘要目的观察厄贝沙坦对原发性高血压患者阵发性心房纤颤(PAF)及其左心房大小的影响。方法将64例原发性高血压合并PAF的患者随机分为两组,每组32例,治疗组接受厄贝沙坦150 m g/d,必要时联合利尿剂或β受体阻滞剂或钙通道阻滞剂控制血压。对照组给予钙通道阻滞剂或(和)β受体阻滞剂或与利尿剂联合控制血压。随访6个月,测定两组治疗前、后的左心房内径(LAD)、血压及心房纤颤(AF)发作次数。结果两组均能显著降低血压,治疗组治疗后的LAD及AF发作次数较对照组显著减少(P<0.05)。结论厄贝沙坦对PAF发作有预防作用,并且可逆转左心房扩大。 Objective To observe the effect of Irbesartan on hypertension patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation （PAF） and left atrial size. Methods 64 hypertension patients with PAF were randomly divided into two groups ： treatment group （ n = 32） and control group （n = 32）. Treatment group was treated with Irbesartan 150 mg/d and control group was treated with drugs such as CCB or/and beta blocker or/and diuretics. Left atrial diameter （LAD）, blood pressure （BP） and the reoccurrence of atrial fibrillation （AF） were measured and compared before treatment and 6 months＇ after treatment. Results After treatments the parameter of BP were decreased beth in treatment group and control group. LAD and the of AF in treatment group was lower than that in control group （P 〈 0.05）. Conclusion Irbesartan not only can prevent the reoccurrence of AF but also reverse left atrial expansion.
