The works of Ouyang Xiu had been introduced to Korea at latest about the mid of 12^th century, and began to spread widely. The literati absorbed and borrowed his literary theory in terms of both contend and form; Critics gave variety of commentaries and criticism on his literary works, mainly positive and praising. Moreover, Ouyang Xiu＇ s personality, his attitude towards life and his personal interests, also exerted certain influence over the Korean literati .
