8250m3 Ammonia spherical gasholder was designed and fabricated in accordance with design by analysis. At the hydrostatic test, the gasholder’s 16props are the critical positions of stress. This paper describes the elasto-plastic finite element analysis and following mea surement of stress-strain during this test.
