中国古诗的英文译文常常被认为是依赖性文本,其存在依赖于诗歌本身,因此对于古诗英文翻译的研究相对较少。其实诗歌翻译是不可缺少的,它的交际目是将诗歌本身及中国文化介绍给英语国家读者。本文旨在通过对唐诗《静夜思》的不同英文译本采取概念隐喻理论进行分析,希望对认知翻译界面的研究提供更广阔的理论空间。

The English translations of Chinese ancient poems have usually been considered secondary or dependent text, whose existence depends on the poems themselves. So there has been little research on poetry translation. In fact, the English translations are indispensable and inevitable, because they can introduce the ancient poems and Chinese cultures to the readers of English-speaking countries. The paper aims at analyzing the different Jing Ye Si＇s English translations by means of Conceptual Metaphor Theory （CMT） and also providing wider space for the research of interface between cognitive linguistics and translation.
