纳西族传统民歌是纳西族人民生活中不可或缺的部分,它贯穿于纳西族人生的各个阶段,除了表达情感、满足娱乐与审美的作用外,还具有很多实际的文化与社会功能。在新的文化背景下,纳西族传统民歌的文化功能与社会功能正发生着重大变迁,这些变迁不仅体现在传统民歌的音乐特征方面,对传统民歌的传承模式也有动态的影响,两者之间的这种互动关系对于纳西传统民歌的传承与保护既有一定的优势,但也存在一定的劣势。

The Naxi folk songs are an organic part of the life of the Naxi people and besides expressing feelings and aesthetic orientation as well as entertainment, the Naxi folk songs have some social and cultural functions. In the new cultural situation, these functions of the Naxi folk songs are going through changes in terms of musical features and inheritance models, whose interaction has both positive and negative influence on the inheritance and protection of the Naxi folk songs.
