新书刊——巴金叙述中的“五四意象”之一

New Books and Periodicals——On One of the May Fourth Images in Ba Jin's Works

所谓"五四意象"是指能够体现出"五四"思想观念和价值判断的元素。在巴金的小说《家》中,"新书刊"就是这样的意象之一。作为能够体现新文化运动与旧的文化与传统决裂的新书刊,承载着作者和五四时代所赋予的很多启蒙的目标和任务。在此基础上,巴金作品中的"新书刊"还体现着极强的作者个人记忆和书写中的选择性,由此也透露出作者个人信仰的诸多信息。

The so-called ＂May Fourth Image＂ refers to the elements which can reflect the May Fourth thoughts,ideas and values.In Ba Jin＇s novel,Family,＂new books and periodicals＂ is one of such images.New books and periodicals,as a representation of the break of the new culture movement from the old culture and tradition,embodied many enlightening goals and tasks which were set by the author and the May Fourth period.In addition,the new books and periodicals in Ba Jin＇s works also reflected his strong personal memory and writing choice,which revealed his personal beliefs.
