A Semantic Orientation Analysis of Locative Terms

影响方位词选用的关系有二:一是物像和背衬的关系,一是背衬和视点的关系。现代汉语方位词多基于物像和背衬关系的选用,方位词的意义直接指向物像;少数基于背衬与视点关系选用的,方位词的意义直接指向背衬。

There are two relations influencing the choice of locative words： physical image and backing; backing and viewpoint. The choice of modem Chinese locative words is mainly based on the relation of physical image and backing, the meaning of which focuses on the physical image; a few choices of the locative words are based on the relation of backing and viewpoint, the meaning of which focuses on the backing.
