Breeding and Application of Ganzaoxian 43, An Early-season Rice Variety

赣早籼４３号是从南特占／／美国籼稻／意大利Ｂ、罗马复交组合中，用系谱法育成。该品种属早籼早熟品种，具有高产、稳产、早熟、抗稻瘟稻、适应推广等特点。两年江西省区试，平均比赣早籼３７号增产７．２８％。该品种１９９７年底累计推广６．６万ｈｍ２，在江西稻区已大面积推广。

Ganzaoxian 43, an early-season variety of Indica rice with high yield, early-maturity and resistance to blast disease, was bred via linear selection from the multiple combination of Nantezhan//Cpslo/Italian B Rome. The results of two-year provinicial regional test showed that its yield was 7.28% higher than the control Ganzaoxian 37. By the end of 1997, it had been spread in large rice area of Jiangxi Province with the total extension area reaching 66,000 ha.
