区域视角下的国内外饭店业研究进展

STUDY ON THE HOTEL INDUSTRY BOTH AT HOME AND ABROAD FROM REGIONAL PERSPECTIVE

目前,国内外学术界对饭店业的研究多局限于微观层面的饭店单体经营管理方面,对宏观和中观层面区域视角下的饭店业研究相对不足,基础理论和研究方法未成体系,影响了饭店业研究的全面性和系统性。从国内外区域饭店业的研究成果来看,国外研究关注的领域比国内要"后现代",如环境保护、能源利用、危机管理等,国内研究关注较多的则是饭店结构失衡、空间布局、阶段演进等问题。展望未来,区域饭店业研究的理论和实证两方面均有待创新突破。

Hotel industry is one of the three pillars in tourism industry whose development has been the focus of academic field. However, most research in hotel industry both at home and abroad is confined to single hotel＇s operational efficiency at micro level by now. The research of hotel industry at macro level from regional perspective is inadequate： both unsystematic basic theory and researching methods affect the comprehensive and systematic study of the hotel industry. Therefore, from regional perspective, the study on hotel industry at home and abroad can provide a useful reference for the whole hotel industry. Most research findings abroad concentrate on the hotel monomer, do research at micro level, take the operational effectiveness of the hotel industry and environmental benefits as the targets. Its macro-regional level studies are mainly reflected in the study of crisis management, energy use, environmental protection, application of information technology industry, characteristics and trends in hotel development, and so on. Compared with studies abroad, domestic studies are inclined to select a place for case study. Its research mainly refers to five aspects, hotel location, hotel space-time distribution, supply and demand structure and the scale, the impact of layout factors, morphological features and trends in the development of restaurants. The studies on hotel industry abroad are more ＂post-moderu＂ than ours. This paper gives some suggestions for the future theoretical and empirical studies about regional hotel industry. Firstly, promote innovation and research of the basic theory system; secondly, explore new ways to promote the regional hotel industry study ＂methodology＂, and gradually perfect the system. In addition, the hotel industry in China has developed rapidly after the reform and opening-up since 1978. Therefore, domestic hotel industry is necessary to enhance regional research to provide macro guidance and to avoid blind construction.
