On September 9th 2009,Ms.Yan Xu,Global Chief Marketing Officer of Tsing Tao Brewer Co.Ltd.gave a lecture at Harvard Business School (HBS),making her the first Chinese woman Entrepreneur to give a speech at HBS.Ms.Yan talked about the ups and downs encountered during the process of globalizing Tsing Tao Beer,a brand with a 106-year history. Yan also talked about her own experiences.Before going to college she had been a professional swimmer, however the autobiography of Lee Iacocca influenced her deeply.'For youngsters who want to test their limits,to become an entrepreneur is the best choice,'said Ms.Yan. In 2008.Yan turned Tsing Tao Beer into a classic case of marketing.On the last day of the Beijing Olympic Games,Tsing Tao Beer and the NBA signed a five-year strategic cooperation contract.The negation process was regarded as a'nightmare'by the NBA,'NBA has never accomplished negotiations as tough as this one in just two weeks, but Ms.Yan and her team was able to succeed.'Moreover,in December 2009.Tsing Tao Beer became the official home court partner of the Cavaliers in Greater China. Today,Tsing Tao Beer has a brand value of 36.6 billion RMB, and has also become a Fortune 500 Company.According to its annual prospective business volume report of 2009.its profit margin growth was 75%-85%,in response to this Ms. Yan's male subordinates sent her a flower bouquet.
