OUTLINE / A co-commission of Opera Boston and the Beijing Music Festival,Zhou Long's opera Madame White Snake premieres in February.This opera is a collaboration between Zhou and librettist Cerise Lim Jacobs,both Chinese artists now living in the United States.Together they re-imagined an ancient Chinese legend in the western music idiom.Is it Chinese? Is it western? Is it authentic? Audience in China will have a chance to come face to face with Madame White Snake when it comes to Beijing this fall.
