Since the water treatment process is rather special at the electric slag remelt （ESR） of the Special Smelting Plant, Baosteel Special Steel Co., the circulating water is sometimes located in the high temperature area, and scaling comes into being in the mould. A kind of chemical treatment method which controls the scaling on the electric slag remeh mould is introduced.
