Economic performance assessment of advanced process control on coker furnace

摘要 先进控制系统通过减少关键过程变量的方差,将过程操作区域推向最佳效益点,从而挖掘出潜在的经济效益。有效评估先进控制所能够带来的经济效益是评估先进控制项目可行性的重要依据,也是检验先进控制项目实施效果的重要方法。文章研究和探讨以最小方差作为性能评估基准的加热炉先进控制经济性能评估方法。加热炉是石化生产过程中的主要设备之一,加热炉操作状况决定了整个生产装置的处理能力、能耗和操作周期等。通过对加热炉先进控制系统进行经济性能评估,可为进一步挖掘加热炉的潜在经济效益提供参考,并保持加热炉先进控制系统的安全稳定、长周期、高性能的运转,这对企业提高效益具有十分重要的意义。 The economic performance assessment of advanced process control(APC) for industrial furnace is presented in the paper. The variability in the process variable is reduced by the APC of furnace,and the operating point can be moved closer to the constraint, which is generally more economical.Estimating the economic benefit generated from APC is crucial for justifying the investment of APC as well as for testing the effectiveness of APC that has been commissioned.Furnaces are the essential equipment and are the main inputs of energy in petroleum refineries.Especially,any reduction in furnace heat duty gives large savings in the fuel bill.It is necessary for the economic performance assessment of APC to assure effectiveness of APC and consequently safe and profitable plant operation.On the other hand,the economic performance assessment of APC is relative to the maximum achievable performance,which would likely also lead to greater benefits from exiting APC.The economic performance assessment for furnace is illustrated by an industrial furnace.
