摘要 在这场新的格局演变中,实体世界里疯狂圈地、疯狂扩张的游戏规则不再适用,互联网成为新的角力场。 'A war is coming,' said Liu Qiangdong with a frown. Liu is the president of 360buy Jingdong Mall (www.360buy.com,short for 360buy),the biggest 3C (computer,communication,consumer electronics) online retailer in China. What worry him are the rising rivals in the appliance retail sector. Taobao.com,the largest e-business website in China,kicked off its online appliance mall in January with daily trade volume up to RMB10 million (USD 1.46 million). The same month also saw the opening of online shopping mall of Suning Appliance Chain Store (Group) Co.,Ltd. (Suning),a top home appliance retail chain in China. With the Internet mania,360buy's 300% annual compound growth rate has stimulated the retail giants in the traditional channels. Consumers are also changing,taking offline outlets as experience places before they place orders online. Suning soon adjusted its e-commerce strategies and launched its online shop in August,2009,aiming at No. 1 brand in the sector. Meanwhile,its rival,GOME Electrical Appliances Holdings Ltd.,increased its investment in online business and is hunting talents. More players like appliance makers are also flooding to the online arena. Statistics show that China's appliance retail sector is still large,as the top two retailers take for less than 13% of the total market share. It is accepted that a new round of transformation of the sector is under its way within the future three to five years.
