Research on the Central Working Conference in 1977

1977年3月的中央工作会议是粉碎"四人帮"后召开的第一次中央工作会议,这次会议第一次较为系统地提出了"走向大治"的基本方针;重新肯定了1975年全面整顿工作所取得的成绩,正式宣布恢复并接续1975年全面整顿时期的措施和做法;对当时一些引起普遍关注的重大问题给予明确回答。尽管会议在总的指导思想上坚持并贯彻了"两个凡是",但是,在宽松的环境中,会议也取得了一些积极成果,对后来形势的发展产生了积极影响。

The central working conference in March 1977 was the first conference of its kind convened after the sraashing of the ＂Gang of Four.＂ At this conference the fundamental principle for marching towards the great order was put forward in a systematic way. The conference reaffirmed the achievements scored during the national full-scale rectification in 1975 and officially declared that the country would resume and continue the measures and policies adopted in that period. At the same time some important questions of common concern received definite answers at the conference. Although the wrong slogan of ＂two whatevers＂ was clung and implemented as the general guiding principle, the conference was held in a relaxed atmosphere and had some positive results, which produced positive influence over the development of the situation in the future.
