摘要
本文从肯尼迪、约翰逊政府对中国的认识与看法的角度探讨美国对华政策,分析了两届政府采取僵硬的对华政策的原因。通过发掘资料,本文认为中国根本没有威胁性、侵略性和危险性,美国也明白这一点,所谓的中国更危险、更有威胁性和侵略性只是美国推行的遏制和孤立对华政策和动员其他国家支持这一政策的借口。
This article explores the American policy towards China from the perspective of Kennedy and Johnson administrations＇ understanding of and views on China and makes an analysis of why the two administrations adopt- ed a rigid China policy. Through delving deep into relevant materials this article draws the following conclusion： America knew well that China was neither aggressive nor dangerous, therefore constituting no threat to other coun- tries and its propaganda about China＇ s dangerousness, threat and aggressiveness was only a pretext for America to pursue its policy of containing and isolating China and to rally support from other countries to this policy.
