Material production and economic development are bases of social development. The plight of Chinese modernization is that there exists a huge economic gap between China and developed countries. However,a sharp contrast is the introduction and establishment of advanced thoughts and culture in China,especially Marxism. The ideology of Marxism shows the basic law of Chinese social development and predicts out the right road of social transformation,so that it cracks the dimmer of social development. Therefore,Chinese development demonstrates the promoting function to social development by advanced culture. It is the original reason of Chinese development.
