おPhenylenediimido cellulose,displayed the fluorescence emission at 555nm with the exciting wavelength at 470nm at room temperature,has been synthesized by ophenylenediamine and dialdehyde cellulose.The product is stable in solution of HCl(1∶1) but is easily soluble in organic solvent,such as EtOH,MeOH,CH3COCH3 etc.Considering ophenylenediimido cellulose is a kind of schiff′s base,we found that as pH of the system is in the range from 6.8 to 13,the reaction occures predominantly,if however,the secondary reactions by polymerization of ophenylenediaimine and crosslinking reaction of dialdehyde cellulose are taken away ophenylenediamine polymerization would be accelerated.The thermal properties and structural characters of the product were described based on the results of DSC and that of FTIR Spectra.
