谈翻译中的归化与异化

归化和异化是翻译中使用的两种不同的手段,这两种方法都能在目的语文化中完成各自的使命,都有其存在的价值。它们不是相互排斥的概念,而是互为补充的翻译策略和方法,是既对立又统一的关系。

This paper explores two common approaches used by translators in translation, namely, domestication and foreignization. The both methods may be justified in their own right if we lake into consideration the differences in the purpose of translation. They are not opposite conceptions, but supplementary translation strategies and methods.
