《红楼梦》中大量的双关语是翻译的难题,采用德拉巴斯替塔的双关语翻译理论分析了大卫.霍克斯对这些双关语的翻译策略,结果显示他的主要翻译策略是面向译语读者,强调译文的可接受性和充分性。
It＇s difficult to translate the large numbers of puns in The Story of the Stone.Within the framework of Delabestita＇s pun translation theory, David Hawkes＇ translation strategies have been analyzed. The results show that in order to be easily accepted by the target readers the translator pays more attention to the acceptability and adequacy of the translation of puns.
