The measurement and control of liquid level in the quenching chamber of a gasifier was concerned with the safety of a gasifier and a gasification unit, and was significant to stabilize slurry gasification and extend operating life of a gasifier. The measurement and control of the liquid level in the quenching chamber of a gasifier were introduced, and the calculation of the measuring range and displacement of the transmitter as well as the protection for the instrument were illustrated when measuring the liquid level with double flange transmitters for different pressures.
