Teaching Strategies of the Valence Bond Theory

价键理论既是大学化学教学中的重点又是难点。笔者采用如下教学策略:运用化学史,强调价键理论的重要性;由"键"巧妙迁移到"化学键";由共价键的形成联想到人类社会;利用故事诠释金属的共性。

Valence Bond Theory in chemistry teaching of university was not only the focal point, but also the difficulties. The following teaching strategies were described. Using History of Chemistry, the importance of valence bond theory was stressed. Let the ＂key＂ move to the ＇ Chemical bond＂ smartly. Consider about the human society from the formation of covalent bond. The common characteristics of metal were explained by means of story.
