摘要
图式理论认为阅读理解是"自下而上"与"自上而下"两个过程的交互作用,既强调低层次的词汇的解码技能,又重视利用背景知识的"自上而下"的阅读策略。因此,在医学英语阅读中,应讲授医学术语构词法,增强学生对词汇的自动化识别;针对学生不同医学专业水平,选取难度适合的阅读材料;精心设计各项阅读活动,促进语言能力与阅读能力的良性循环,提高医学英语阅读能力。
According to schema theory, reading is the interaction of ＂bottom-up＂ processing and ＂top-down＂ processing, which stresses both word recognition and background-knowledge development. In medical English reading class, it is important to teach medical terminology, select reading materials in accordance with students＇ medical knowledge, and design reading activities to improve their language competence and reading strategies.
