江南地区是元代手工业最为发达的区域之一,其手工业发展呈现出不少新的特点。在结构体系上,官营手工业机构规模超前又具地方特色;民营手工业结构稳定且吸收了更多的劳动力,并出现新的形式。经营方式上,官营手工业生产扩大且分工更加细化;民营手工业从兼业向专业发展,雇佣劳动进一步发展。
