新闻道德根据论的任务之一,就是要回答历史的、具体的新闻道德为什么是这样的,而不是那样的,特别要回答如此道德的合理性何在、根据在哪里。不理解一定的社会存在,就不可能理解一定社会中的道德存在。正是一定社会存在的特殊性,即一定社会经济、政治、文化、技术以及习惯、传统、社会心理等等的特殊性,从根本上决定了其新闻存在、新闻活动的特殊性,从根本上决定了不同历史环境、现实环境中新闻道德表现的特殊性。

One task of journalistic ethics is to answer why the concrete and historic journalistic ethics is this rather than is that, particularly to answer what is the rationality of such a morality and its basis. If not understand a certain degree of social existence, it is impossible to understand the moral presence in a certain society. It is the particularity of a certain social existence, namely, a certain socio--economy, politics, culture, technology and customs, traditions and social psychology, etc. fundamentally determines the particularity of its news and activities, and also determines the particularity of journalistic ethics in different historical and real environment.
