The article introduces a new hook-device of the luffing jib crane, and illuminates its structure and theory of being transformed from single- to double-reeved. On this basis, it analyses the movement course of the hook being transformed from single- to double-reeved as an application example. At last it paints the movement curve of the hook. This work will lay a theory foundation for the dynamic analysis of the hook.
