清代山西的商业城镇——太谷

Taigu,a Famous Commercial City of Shanxi Province during the Qing Dynasty

太谷自古就是山西著名的商业城镇,清代至民国时期商业发展到鼎盛,城内店铺林立,商业贸易活动繁盛。清代中叶,随着票号的创办,太谷县城逐渐成为全国的金融中心。从现存于太谷县城外净信寺的一批碑刻资料入手进行分析和研究,可以还原清代及民国时期太谷城内的商业面貌,并考察出太谷籍商人的行商地域范围。

Taigu was a famous city of Shanxi Province during the Qing Dynasty. At that time, there were so many shops in the city, and the trade contacts were thriving and prosperous. With the development of draft bank, Taigu city became the financial centre of China. This paper uses the information of inscriptions which are kept in the temple named Jingxinsi, the symbol building of Taigu during the Qing Dynasty, to educe the phylogeny of Taigu City, and to exam the trade region of the businessmen who were from Taigu City.
