The dissertation makes use of archives in Taiwan Academia Historica, Institute of Modem History etc., explores the origins of Sino-American＇ s barter trade, China＇ s management and organization to barter trade, production and transportation of barter things; then, it analyzes features of Sino-America＇s barter trade, and the influences of barter trade upon Chinese wartime foreign trade policies and foreign trade institutions.
