摘要
思维和语言的关系问题由来已久,以Chomsky为代表的语言普遍论者强调语言是独立于认知的人类天生的官能,Fodor和Pinker对Chomsky的观点进行了理论继承,分别提出人类通过"思维语言"和"心理语言"进行思维的观点,Goldin-Meadow等学者从实验角度对此进行了研究,验证了Chomsky观点的正确性。相关的理论探讨及跨学科的实验研究为理解语言与思维的关系提出了新的思路。
As to the long -lasting question of the relationship between thought and language, Chomsky, representing language um- versalists, advanced that language is an innate faculty of human being independent of cognition. Fodor and Pinker further developed Chom- sky~ idea and put forward the hypothesis that human beings think through " language of thought" and "mentalese" respectively. And from the angle of experiment, Goldin - Meadow further confirmed these views. Both the theory inherits and the cross - discipline experimental exploration provide new methods to understand the relationship between language and thought.
