"对等"是翻译的本质属性,是影响译者决策的主导参数。否定"对等"、解构"忠实"等于剥离了翻译的本质属性,翻译赖以生存的现实基础将不复存在,翻译研究势必由一门有特定研究对象、严密体系的学科演变成几乎任何人都可以涉足的领域,不利于确立其独立的学科地位。

Equivalence is an intrinsic quality of translation and a predominant factor affecting the translation process and the translation outcome.Deconstruction of equivalence is bound to deprive translation of its intrinsic quality.As an inevitable consequence,the very basis underlying translation will become non-existent and translation studies will be transformed from a focused and unified discipline into an area potentially open to all comers.
