摘要
运用密度矩阵方程理论,研究了Λ型四能级与多模光场相互作用系统中的相对介电常数和相对磁导率的性质。数值模拟表明,在适当的参数取值下,系统的相对介电常数和相对磁导率可以同时为负值,因此可以在此系统中实现左手效应。在一定范围内,连续改变相干场的拉比频率强度,实现左手效应的区域作相应的变化,并研究了在实现左手效应区间内折射率的性质。
Using matrix equation theory, the properties of the relative dielectric permittivity and the relative magnetic permeability are investigated in a lamda-type four-level atomic system. By the means of numerical method, the real parts of both relative dielectric permittivity and the relative magnetic permeability will be negative simultaneously under the condition of choosing appropriately parameters, so the left handedness effect is obtained. In a certain scope, by adjusting the intensity of Rabi frequencies of the coherent field in the steady state, the ranges of left handedness effect are changed correspondingly. Additionally, the properties of the negative refractive index are studied in detail.
